Samadhi

Adult ADHD and Life Coaching

Samadhi is a Sanskrit word with various but similar meaning among Eastern cultures. In one word, it is concentration

The Theraveda Buddhist tradition defines it as a concentration of the mind on one object, the mental state of being firmly fixed, perseverance in extreme difficulties, and clarity of the mind caused by a sharp concentration.

In Yogic philosophy, it is the place where the mediator merges with its object of focus and transcends the self, mind, body, and spirit, to a higher understanding.

Ayurveda values Samadhi as oneness of self, or the state of self-realization; the ultimate state of physical and mental control.

In learning about Samadhi, it reminded me of what we want to achieve, abstractly, and on a grand scale, in ADHD coaching. It felt fitting to borrow this deep and meaningful word and play on it!  Thus, Seeking Samadhi was born. Welcome! We won’t be reaching nirvana, but we aim for greater heights and self awareness, clarity of mind, and oxygenating your brain, in order to achieve your desired outcomes! I hope you have found yourself in the right place, as you have Samadhi to lean on!

The secret to change, is to focus your energy, not on fighting the old, but on building the new.
